Over the past few weeks, ICE enforcement activity has intensified in Minnesota and across the country, and roofing crews are increasingly finding themselves caught in the middle.

Videos circulating on social media show roofers (some of them with legal status) being detained on active jobsites.  In many cases, work stops instantly — not just because workers are taken into custody, but because fear spreads just as fast. Crews don’t show up the next day. Subcontractors lose manpower. Schedules unravel.

This isn’t happening in a vacuum.
